SubClear is an independent information site about the UK's new subscription contract rules. It is run by KorTechX, an IT and digital services company based in Pakistan that builds websites, online shops and apps, including subscription billing, for clients around the world.
We built it because the rules affect two groups at once: people in the UK who pay for subscriptions, and businesses anywhere that sell them to UK customers. The consumer tools are free and store nothing on our servers. The business checklist is free too; if you ask us to review your flow, that is how we earn.
We are not a government body, not a regulator, and not a law firm. Nothing here is legal advice. Every page shows when we last checked the official sources, and the sources page links to all of them.
How we check facts
Every legal statement on the site is traced to the Act, the draft regulations or the government's draft guidance, all listed on the sources page. We re-read those documents whenever Parliament or the Department for Business and Trade publishes something new, correct any page that has changed, and update the "last checked" date shown on every page. We do not accept payment for editorial content, and advertisements are clearly labelled.
